 EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows
 
 
The Control Unit Model TX-2000-xxx is a handheld radio controller designed to provide control of certified equipment located in Group I atmospheres via a radio communication link. The equipment incorporates 24 two-step pushbutton switches and on/off pushbuttons located on the front of the equipment with a backlit LCD display, which provides various information and feedback from the equipment being controlled. 

The equipment comprises a three printed circuit boards, a Battery Protection Board, a Microcontroller/RF Board and Display/Keypad board housed in a dual compartment machined polycarbonate enclosure alongside a non-replaceable rechargeable battery pack which supplies the equipment.

At the bottom of the TX-2000-xxx, a threaded plug and socket connector is provided for the charging of the equipment. The TX-2000-xxx must only be charged in the non-hazardous area using the Charging Supply Model BC-2000.

The ‘xxx’ suffix on the model number defines the configuration of the equipment (Graphics overlay, button and software configuration) for a specific user. In terms of intrinsic safety all configurations are identical.
