EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 

Model 24293A -000, B9G1 CAB.  Electrical Ratings 460V, 3-Ph, 60Hz / 230V, 1-Ph, 60Hz / 110V, 1-Ph, 60Hz / 24Vdc

The B9G1 Collector CAB Assembly is component part of a large system and directly connects to end of an electrical generator manufactured by General Electric Power & Water division, USA.

The unit houses various equipment such as the generator collector and turning gear assemblies which are used to start the system and to draw power off during operation.  The unit also contains various piping and instrumentation related to the generator monitoring, seal oil supply/drain systems, and hydrogen purging systems.  Additionally the unit has gas monitoring, ventilation, lighting, and fire detection/suppression systems installed. 

The B9G1 Collector CAB is not a standalone system and is not functional until it is interconnected with a General Electric and properly installed in a Gas Turbine Power Plant.     

Junction Boxes in the B9G1 Collector CAB Assembly clearly presents instructions for wiring interconnections and field wiring during final installation of equipment. Instructions for safety, putting into service; use; assembling and dismantling; maintenance, overhaul and repair; Installation; adjustment; is responsibility of General Electric Power & Water division, USA. 

 

NOTE: Although this equipment is covered under a Full Certificate supported by the ExTR and QAR listed, each unit is inspected and verified by the ExCB upon completion. This Certificate covers only the Model Number and Serial Number listed in the “Electrical Apparatus” section on page 1 of this Certificate.

 

 

 
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF USE: YES as shown below:
 

1) Hazardous Area Drawing 124E4881 defines the boundaries between various hazardous classified areas within the skid B9G1 CAB and the associated non-hazardous zones.  Is the responsibility of the installer to maintain the hazardous area envelop, as defined in the drawing 124E4881 in accordance with the area classification procedures of IEC 60079-10-1 

 

2) For maximum number of conductors for the housing size and permissible current rating of field wiring and interconnections of junction boxes tag numbers  jb5h, jb508, jb163, jb5a and jb166 refer to R. Stahl manufacturer instructions attached to IECEx PTB 09.0048 issue.
