EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
The LED High Bay Area light (HBA) is a pendant floodlight rated at 100V to 277V, 50/60Hz, and up to 165W.

The HBA comprises an aluminium lamp enclosure housing high power LEDs and their associated driver circuits. A glass lens is clamped in place by an aluminium frame which is secured by 12 fasteners the heads of which are filled with epoxy resin to prevent removal.

The HBA has an integral cable and an external suspension bracket. 

 

 
CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:
 
1. The HBA is a factory sealed product, do not attempt to open; return to the manufacturer for service or repair.

2. The HBA is to be suspended such that no tension is applied to the supply cable.

3. The integral cable is to be terminated in a suitable terminal or junction facility. 

4. The external plastic guard on the HBA Series LED Luminaire with Sand Blast Shield (Variation 3.4) is to be cleaned with a damp cloth only.

DETAILS OF CERTIFICATE CHANGES (for issues 1 and above):
 
Variation 3.1

Addition of an internal EMC shield together with clarification of the parts description, an alternative position for the external earth screw and an alternative self adhesive label.

Variation  3.2

Alternative version of the unit incorporating an increased safety terminal box.

The terminal box contains terminals as IECEx PTB 05.0003U and is electrically connected to the luminaire housing via an M25 line bushing as IECEx QPS 09.0001.

The terminal box is assembled using silicone rubber ‘O’ rings. Up to two M20 or M25 apertures are provided in the sides of the terminal box. Any unused aperture is fitted with blank plugs as IECEx BVS 07.0021.

The unit so formed is designated as the HBA Series LED Luminaire with Junction Box.

Variation  3.3

Alternative transportable version of the unit with a tubular stand to allow various mounting positions.

The unit is fitted with an increased safety terminal box as Variation 3.2 and with a Cooper Crouse Hinds cable gland as IECEx BKI 08.0007. An auxiliary external wire guard may also be fitted.

The unit so formed is designated as the HBA Series Transportable Luminaire.

Variation  3.4

Alternative version of the unit incorporating the increased safety terminal box as Variation 3.2 and fitted an external transparent plastic lens guard. A warning label is fitted to indicate the cleaning method for the guard.

The unit so formed is designated as the HBA Series LED Luminaire with Sand Blast Shield.
