This certificate is issued as verification that a sample(s), representative of production, was assessed and tested and found to comply with the IEC Standard list below and that the manufacturer's quality system, relating to the Ex products covered by this certificate, was assessed and found to comply with the IECEx Quality system requirements. This certificate is granted subject to the conditions as set out in IECEx Scheme Rules, IECEx 02 and Operational Documents as amended.

EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
The type 5100006855 Power and Control Connection Enclosure is constructed from steel and has a bolt on front access cover.  The equipment is rated for 3300 V, three phase, 400 A maximum current. There is an external handle, with an operating rod passing through the enclosure wall, to facilitate the resetting of an internal circuit breaker; the handle can either be mounted to the top or side of the enclosure.  The enclosure has plain gland entries, which are to be populated with suitably approved cable glands, it also houses terminal connection strips, a fuse block and a DC converter.  The lid is secured with fourteen, M12 x 30, Cap screws that are all 10.9 property class or above.
 
Conditions of manufacture
The Manufacturer shall comply with the following:
1. Each enclosure shall be subjected to a routine overpressure of at least 10.77 bar for at least 10 s, as required by clause 16.1 of IEC/EN60079-1. There shall be no permanent deformation or damage to the enclosure.

The 5100006855 power and control connection enclosure has minimum joint widths (L) and maximum constructional gaps (ic) other than the relevant minimum/maximum required by table 1 of IEC 60079-1. Contact the manufacturer for information on the dimensions of the flame proof joints.
