The STP8X series TETRA Radio is a hand-held radio commonly used by the emergency services, oil, gas, transport and utility companies for 2-way radio communications.It consists of a single multi-layer PCB with connections to the keypad; display; antenna; Bluetooth module, GPS/Man Down Module, SIM card, SD card and replaceable battery pack including battery protection PCB all contained within a plastic enclosure.The radio is charged up by inserting the radio into either the STP8X Desktop charger or STP8X In-Car charger when located in the non-hazardous area. Connections to the following accessories is made via the rugged side connector. The connection or disconnection of any accessory connected directly to the rugged side connector may only be done in the non-hazardous area:
