The Alignment Laser, Models SLX-635P and BLX-635, each comprise a laser module fitted with the laser diode package, encapsulated laser drive circuitry and a fuse. With the exception of the laser diode packages, the laser modules are identical for both laser types.Model SLX-635P comprises a 1 mW red laser powered by two AA-size primary cells (Panasonic Industrial LR6 (GW)) located in a zinc-plated housing manufactured from hexagonal brass stock. The housing is fitted with a level-indicator vial on the top side and six recessed neodymium magnets in the base for magnetic mounting.Model BLX-635 laser comprises a 5 mW laser module powered by three D-size cells (Panasonic Industrial LR20 (GW)) and alignment mechanism housed in a cylindrical bronze housing. The housing comprises two sections, the laser module / telescoping assembly section and the battery section. The battery section houses the cells, on/off switch mechanism and also incorporates mechanical reverse-polarity protection and a fuse. The battery section is detachable from the laser module / telescoping front section for replacing of the cells in the safe area.
