As this is a Unit Verification Certificate, no QAR is applicable as this certificate is specific to the items listed by serial number or other unique identification.
The equipment enclosures are manufactured from cast iron to BS EN 1561:1997 to a grade not inferior to 15 ISO/R185. They consist of a single cast rectangular base and cover that house either a switch or starter. The covers are secured to the base using equi-spaced M6 x 16 mm counter bored hexagonal socket cap head screws. The interface between the base and the covers forms a flanged flamepath. Internal and external earthing facilities are provided. Cable entry holes are provided, as specified on the certified drawings, for the accommodation of suitable flameproof cable entry devices, thread adapters and stopping plugs certified as IECEx equipment. A bracket is attached to the rear of the casting for mounting.
