The DB10 Loudspeaker comprises a cylindrical body with an end cover incorporating an external long or short horn flare at one end and a plain cover at the other, all manufactured from glass reinforced polyester. The horn assembly comprises the driver and a phosphor bronze sinter.The driver is potted which forms the boundary between the flameproof driver enclosure and the increased safety enclosure housing type BK4 terminals to IECEx SIR 05.0035U. Once potted the housing and horn assembly are inseparable. The increased safety enclosure may be provided with an optional transformer and an MK3 3-way terminal strip to IECEx SIR 05.0036U.Two threaded cable entries are provided in the increased safety enclosure which is provided with a seal cemented into a groove in the cover.The speaker is rated up to 100V, 15W.Cable entry holes are provided as specified on the certified drawings for the accommodation of cable entry devices. Unused entries are to be fitted with suitable certified stopping plugs.The cable entry devices and stopping plugs shall maintain the IP54 rating of the equipment, shall be suitable for the equipment, the cable and the conditions of use, and shall be certified as Equipment (not a Component).
