Schedule

EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

A Range of Cage Rotor Induction Motors with shaft centre heights ranging from 250 to 450mm are designed with rib cooling in cast iron frames, for horizontal or vertical, foot or flange mounting.  The 2 -20 pole machines are rated up to 6.6KV,1250kW, 3 phase. The 2 to 6 pole machines are rated up to 90 Hz and the 8 to 20 pole machines to 120Hz.

Main terminal and auxiliary terminal enclosures

The range of machines may be provided with mains terminal enclosures as specified on the drawings or increased safety mains terminal enclosures and auxiliary terminal boxes to IECEx BAS 06.0079U, coded Ex e II.

Anti Condensation Heaters

Tubular metal sheathed anti-condensation heaters to IECEx BAS 06.0081U, coded Ex e II may be fitted to the machines. Each heater is rated at up to 120 Volts, 60 Watts.

Clarification of the description regarding anti-condensation heaters to add the following information:

The heaters can be connected in series and parallel combinations with a total circuit voltage up to 480V. The voltage of each individual heater will be ≤120V.

Auxiliary devices

RTD's, thermocouples, and PTC resistors temperature measuring devices may also be fitted to the machines; in particular, to the windings.

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

1.  The anti-condensation heaters must be interlocked to prevent operation whilst the motor is energised. The heater supply must not exceed 120V r.m.s.

2.  Terminal boxes to IECEx BAS 06.0079U must not be fitted to motors subjected to temperatures below -20°C.

3.  The cable entry devices used on the terminal arrangements shall be suitably certified and maintain the IP54 minimum of the enclosures. Unused cable entries must be filled with suitably certified stopping plugs.

4.  Any conditions or limitations stated on the Certificate documents of a component fitted to the motor, which affects the safe use of the motor, shall apply. This information shall be supplied by the motor manufacturer.

5.  The machines may be supplied with insulated bearings. The user is responsible for checking the effectiveness of such insulation at appropriate intervals; e.g. by the use of a 100V insulation tester and by visual inspection to ensure that no unpainted/unearthed metal can be shorted to earth.

6.  Silicone seals are to be provided to motors subjected to temperatures below -40°C.

7.
Threaded holes for cable entry devices shall have five threads and a tolerance of 6H to ISO965-1 and ISO965-3.
