This motor is used in potentially explosive atmospheres by gas. The type ED*200*** Frame motor is applied to several electrical ratings in same frame. This motor is designed for electrical ratings within the following limits.

This motor is rated for S1 duty(continuous) and can be supplied with tolerances IEC60034-1(±5%) and IEC60038(±10%).
This is a three phase induction motor with squirrel cage, totally enclosed fan cooled. This motor consists of GCD450 end brackets and frame. The rotor is supported by a ball or roller bearing. External fan is attached to the shaft end (opposite drive) for cooling the frame.
The main terminal box consists of GC150 with a cover using the secured bolts. The joint to the motor frame and removable covers are machined to provide an ingress protection of IP55. The main terminal box is separated structure from the viewpoint of flameproof enclosure.
Special fasteners used in the equipment shall have minimum grade 12.9 steel in accordance with ISO 898-1.
