The 250 and 280 frame size motors have 2 to 8 poles and are rated at up to 75kW or 110kW respectively for vertical, horizontal, foot and flange mounted machines.See Annex for more information
1. The hexagon head bolts used in the assembly of the motors must be of minimum grade 12.9 for the endshields and 4.6 for the bearing covers.2. When anti-condensation heaters are fitted, they are to be interlocked such that they can only be energized when the motor is de-energised3. For use with non-sinusoidal or variable frequency supplies the motor is fitted with thermal protection in the form of one 160°C PTC thermister per phase in the drive end stator winding overhang. These are to be connected to a protection circuit so as to limit the stator temperature to 160°C; in this arrangement the Temperature Classification is T3.4. The cable glands when installed in the increased safety terminal must provide a minimum of IP54 level of ingress protection
