EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
Description
 
The stator housing of the machine is designed in type of protection Flameproof enclosure. For cooling the machine is equipped with an external fan which sucks in the air and leads it through the pipes of the stator housing.
The fan is mounted to and driven by the non-drive end of the shaft of the machine.
 
The machine is equipped with one or more terminal boxes. These boxes are designed in type of protection Flameproof enclosure, Increased safety or they are designed for circuits in type of protection Intrinsic safety and they are separately tested and IECEx-certified.
 
The stator winding can be equipped with resistance thermometer (Pt100) or PTC-thermistors. The resistance thermometers are optionally designed in type of protection Intrinsic safety or Increased safety and separately tested and IECEx-certified for this purpose.
 
The bearings can be equipped with resistance thermometer (Pt100). These thermometers are located on the outside of the machine not inside the flameproof enclosure. These thermometers are designed in type of protection Intrinsic safety or Increased safety and they are separately tested and IECEx-certified for this purpose.
 
Inside the stator housing the machine can be equipped with an anti-condensation heater.
 
The machine will be built in several variations with different electrical parameters, ambient temperature range and temperature class.
 
CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:
 
1 The dimensions of the flameproof joints are in parts other than the relevant minimum or maximum values of IEC 60079-1:2007. For information on the dimensions of the flameproof joints contact the manufacturer.
 
2 The yield stress of the fasteners of parts of the flame proof enclosure of the machine shall be at least 600 N/mm².
