The explosion-protected electronic ballast is intended for operation in explosion-proof light fittings. This electronic ballast is suitable for operating of one or two fluorescent tubes T8 or T12 of 18/20 W, 36/40 W and 58/65 W according to IEC 60081. The electronic ballast is composed of the circuit board, the aluminium housing and the sealing caps.

The electronic ballast with emergency light electronics, type q 2435  meets the “end-of-life”-requirements for ballasts for T8 lamps in accordance with IEC 60079-7 annex H . The requirements are complied within the operating temperature range of the ballast.

Special conditions:
The electronic ballast with emergency light electronics shall be installed into an enclosure which meets the requirements of an approved type of protection according to IEC 60079-0, section 1 and which provides an ingress protection of IP54 as a minimum for enclosures designed to type of protection Increased Safety “e”. When the electronic ballast with emergency light electronics is installed into an enclosure of type of protection Increased Safety “e” in accordance to IEC 60079-7, the clearances and creepage distances specified in section 4.3, section 4.4 and Table 1 must bee considered. This component is suitable for Group I and Group II application, because the normative requirements are identical in this case.
