EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 

A range of three phase totally enclosed induction motor models with water jacket or convection air cooling, all intended for mining machine service.The enclosure has  bolt on cast iron end shields (brackets) having integral bearing housings. Water cooled versions have a fabricated steel carcass and air cooled versions have a cast iron carcass having integral cast fins.  

Cable entry for supply wiring is via a separately certified cable gland having a cylindrical flamepath to the enclosure with or without an adaptor. Supply wiring is direct entry butt jointed to the winding leadouts supply wiring connections. Examination of the cable and gland assembly is not included in the scope of this certificate.
The rotor shaft is supported by rolling element bearings. Bushings in the end shields and shaft sleeves provide the shaft glands.

All models having two pairs of normally closed, internally mounted, thermostats rated as 145oC±5o C.Individual model details are given in Schedule 1, Schedule 2 and Schedule 3 in the Annexe to this certificate.
