Schedule

EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

Type S4 Exm Solenoid Coil Operator rated at up to 230V, 16VA, d.c. or a.c. at 50Hz.

The apparatus enclosure comprises a steel housing and cover. The housing is fitted with a thermally fused encapsulated coil. A flange tube, which runs into and through the enclosure and coil, is provided at one end with an M8 nut which secures the cover to the housing. The other end of the flange tube is fitted to a valve body.

The inside of the flange tube houses a spring loaded, shuttle type armature, such that energising the coil causes the armature to move and thereby operate the valve.

Connection to the coil is provided by a 3 core flying lead, which enters the enclosure via a threaded conduit connection.

Internal and external earthing facilities are provided.

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

  1. The flying lead must be suitably protected against impact.
  2. The flying lead must be terminated in a suitably certified enclosure or in a safe area.
  3. The supply circuit must be protected by a fuse capable of withstanding a prospective short circuit current of 4000A.
