EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

The DTR005 Depth Time Recorder IS-ATEX is a ruggedised depth and data recorder for slickline memory logging, although it may be used for other applications. Depth from a shaft encoder is recorded against time together with other analogue channels such as wireline tension.

The equipment comprises of three PCB’s including a liquid crystal display module. Electrical connections are made to external connectors, switches and light emitting diodes mounted in the wall of the enclosure. Further connections are made to the batteries and associated current limiting resistors. A piezo sounder is mounted in a recess on the inside of the front face of the IP66 metal enclosure. The front of the enclosure has a glass window over the display. When the equipment is fitted inside the protective case it is suitable for EPL Ga when it is removed from the protective case it is only suitable for EPL Gb.

The electrical connections for the Shaft Encoder and analogue inputs are made via a 15m multi-core cable, fitted with a cable gland at the encoder end and a 6 pin socket at the DTR005 end.

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

1.  The equipment must be used in its carry case when located in a Zone 0, requiring an Equipment Protection Level Ga.

2.  The Apparatus is not capable of withstanding the 500V insulation test required by Clause 6.3.12 of IEC 60079-11: 2006. This must be taken into account when installing the apparatus.
