EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

The three phase asynchronous motors of types EDR*71***/2*** are designed to increased safety "e" type of protection. For the EDR*71***/2*** types, the enclosure of IP66 enclosure protection with cooling ribs is made from die-cast aluminium. A terminal box can be attached. The squirrel-cage rotor is made from cast aluminium or cast copper. It consists of the bars, the cage rings and fan blades that can optionally be cast with the cage rings. The shaft rotates in rolling bearings. A backstopping device can be used as a bearing option on the non-drive end. Another alternative is a version with a shaft end on the non-drive end. Cooling is achieved by heat exchange for which an external fan, made from aluminium or a separately tested plastic material, and the enclosure surface are used. The external fan is rotationally locked with a modified shaft shoulder or a parallel key. The motors may additionally be provided with anti-condensation heaters. PTC thermistor detectors are alternatively used as an additional or the only motor protection in connection with a certified tripping unit. Electrical connection is made by a terminal boxes. The enclosures are made from cast aluminium or grey cast iron; they are equipped with cable glands, sealing plugs and gaskets. For mains connection, cable lugs connected with a terminal board kit or tension spring terminals.

Schedule of Limitations

Has been specified in the associated data sheet.

The admissible ambient temperature range is 40 °C down to -20°C. This temperature range may be extended fram 60 °C down to -40°C by specific electric or thermal equipment design, in which suitable terminal boxes, materials, components are used, or by the data sheet for the electrical design.

The electrical design is attached to this IECEx Certificate of Conformity as an electrical data sheet. Further electrical designs can be present by a technical data sheet documented by the PTB Additional technical data can be called up by the manufacturer.

The motors are rated for S1 duty (continuous) when connected to a three phase supply having form and symmetry not worse than that definied in IEC 60034-1 and operated within defined voltage and frequency linmits for zone A.
