EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 

The 295-X model slip ring comprises a stainless steel flameproof enclosure that contains slip rings, associated brushes, and fiber optic connections. The flameproof enclosure has a center shaft that is connected to the stationary object. The outer housing / lower sleeve assembly is connected to the movable object and rotate on a slewing bearing. The rotation is bi-directional up to one rotation per minute. There are five increased safety junction boxes attached to the lower sleeve for electrical connections to the movable object. There is one flameproof enclosure attached to the lower sleeve that contains the control for the condensation heaters used inside the large slip ring enclosure. The slip ring circuits are rated between 1 A and 125 A and can be used for power, signal, bond, grounding and fiber optic signals.

 
CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:
 

No modifications or repairs to the flameproof joints are allowed.

Fasteners with minimum tensile strength of 450 MPa. must be used.
