The Battery Charger Model SPS5711 is a DC-DC battery charger with an analogue circuit. The DC-DC battery charger contains a cooling fan and is a bi-directional device charging the backup battery during normal operation and delivering 24-26 Vdc, 20 A from the backup battery to the load in the event of failure of the power supply. The enclosure is made of aluminium, and the front panel has two signal LEDs, two output voltage test points and an on/off switch. The electrical ratings are:

Input 24-26 Vdc, 20 A

Output 24-26 Vdc, 20 A

Battery port 30-43 Vdc, 20 A

Schedule of limitations 

1.   The equipment shall be mounted within a tool-secured enclosure which meets the requirements of EN 60079-0 and EN 60079-15 and is capable of accepting the applicable wiring methods specified in EN 60079-14.  Where installed in outdoor or potentially wet locations, the enclosure shall, at a minimum, meet the requirements of IP54.  Where installed in locations providing adequate protection against the entry of solid foreign objects or water capable of impairing safety, the enclosure shall, at a minimum, meet the requirements of IP4X.

2.   Only batteries and cells obtained from Transistor Devices Inc are acceptable.
