EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 

The solenoid driver module type KFD2-SL2-Ex* resp. KFD2-SL2-Ex*.B is used as associated apparatus for the driving of valves. The solenoid driver module is built as 1-channel or 2-channel type. Errors just as open-circuiting or short-line fault are transformed to the power rail and do not exist at the version KFD2-SL2-Ex*.B.

 

The maximum permissible ambient temperature range is -20°C to +50°C for the 2-channel type

but -20°C to +60°C for the 1-channel type.

The intrinsically safe output circuits are safely electrically isolated from the supply circuit, the signal circuit and the input circuit up to a peak value of 375V of the nominal voltage.
