This certificate is issued as verification that a sample(s), representative of production, was assessed and tested and found to comply with the IEC Standard list below and that the manufacturer's quality system, relating to the Ex products covered by this certificate, was assessed and found to comply with the IECEx Quality system requirements. This certificate is granted subject to the conditions as set out in IECEx Scheme Rules, IECEx 02 and Operational Documents as amended.

STANDARDS:
The electrical apparatus and any acceptable variations to it specified in the schedule of this certificate and the identified documents, was found to comply with the following standards:

IEC 60079-0 : 2004
Edition: 4.0
Electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres - Part 0: General requirements
IEC 60079-1 : 2007-04
Edition: 6
Explosive atmospheres - Part 1: Equipment protection by flameproof enclosures "d"
IEC 60079-7 : 2006-07
Edition: 4
Explosive atmospheres - Part 7: Equipment protection by increased safety "e"

This Certificate does not indicate compliance with electrical safety and performance requirements other than those expressly included in the Standards listed above.

Schedule

EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

Description

The stator housing is designed in type of protection flameproof enclosure "d". The terminal box is welded on top of the ND-end of the stator housing. One compartment is part of the stator housing. The other compartment is the connecting box in type of protection flameproof enclosure "d" (structure of the housing), resp. in type of protection increased safety "e" (internal components, clearances, creepage distances, degree of ingress protection).

For cooling the motor is equipped with cooling-water ducts in the double walled stator housing.

For direct temperature monitoring the motor is equipped with three temperature detectors (PTC thermistors DIN 44081-155) in the winding overhangs of the stator windings at the ND-end and optionally one temperature detector (PTC thermistors DIN 44081-100) at each bearing. The temperature detectors are connected in series. They must be connected to a control unit, which is suitable for this purpose. A second temperature detector circuit for monitoring the windings can be installed as a stand-by circuit.

Optionally the temperature of the motor can be monitored by three thermo contacts (Microtherm T10-150, normally closed contacts) which are placed in the winding overhangs of the stator windings at the ND-end. The thermo contacts are connected in series. A second thermo contact circuit for monitoring the windings can be installed as a stand-by circuit.

For temperature measurement the motor can be equipped optionally with a resistance thermometer (Pt 100) at the ND - end in the winding overhangs of the stator winding and at each bearing.

Parameter

See Annex

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

The motor must be directly monitored either by the temperature detectors in the stator windings and at the bearings in connection with a control unit which is suitable for this purpose, or by the optionally mounted thermo contacts (normally closed contacts) in the winding overhangs and at the bearings.

All screws for assembling the parts of the flameproof enclosure must have a minimum quality of min. 8.8 (yield strength: 640 N/mm²).

Some of the flameproof joints have widths that are bigger and gaps that are smaller than the values required in table 1 of EN 60079-1:2007. In case of repair or exchange of parts forming theses flameproof parts, the values of these joints have to comply with the measures of the drawings stated in the table: "Manufacturer's Documents" (see below).

For ambient temperatures above 30 °C a heat resistant cable with a temperature resistance of min. 80 °C and a cable entry which is certified for this purpose is to be used.
