EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
Description:
 
The end of line unit is used as line terminator in bus systems. It is designed to be mounted to enclosures in type of protection flameproof enclosure, increased safety or intrinsically safe apparatus (only type F*-FT-Ex1.I.IEC).
 
The end of line unit type F*-FT-Ex1.I.IEC may be connected to intrinsically safe circuits in accordance with FISCO model.
 
The end of line unit type F*-FS-Ex1.D.IEC is a variation of type F*-FT-Ex1.D.IEC and has only a fully encapsulated fuse inside the enclosure.

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:
 
1    The end of line unit has to be securely mounted to the wall of an apparatus type of protection
      flameproof enclosure or increased safety or intrinsic safety (only type F*-FT-Ex1.I.IEC) designed for
      this purpose. The mounting conditions have to guarantee the incorporation of the unit enclosure into
      the local equipotential bonding.
 
2    Mounting of the end of line unit to increased safety enclosures have to be in such a way that the
      degrees of protection of that enclosure are maintained.
 
3    The end of line unit is designed for use in the following ambient temperature range:
      temperature class T6 -50 °C up to +60 °C
      temperature class T5 -50 °C up to +75 °C
      temperature class T4 -50 °C up to +85 °C
 
4    For the end of line unit type F*-FT-Ex1.D.IEC the following applies additionally:
 
4.1 If explosive atmosphere is present, the enclosure, to which the end of line unit is mounted, has not
      to be opened even when the supply is switched off.
 
4.2 Mounting of the end of line unit to flameproof enclosures is restricted to such enclosures with a
      reference pressure of 20 bar as a maximum.
 
5    For the end of line unit type F*-FT-Ex1.I.IEC the following applies additionally:
      Mounting of the end of line unit to the wall of an apparatus type of protection flameproof enclosure,
      increased safety or intrinsic safety the terminals of the intrinsically safe circuit have to be separated
      from those of non intrinsically safe circuits, other intrinsically safe circuits and earthed metal parts in
      accordance with clause 6.2.1 of IEC 60079-11.
