Schedule

EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

Series 500/1 Headlight, rated at 30V maximum a.c. or d.c. and 13.2W maximum input.

The enclosure comprises a Series 500 Exd Enclosure as certified under Component Certificate Baseefa10ATEX0241U, coded I M2 Exd I Mb   IP66.

The interior of the enclosure comprises of an LED light assembly and chassis, which is mounted on the copper heatsinks/mounting plates via copper spacers.

To obviate the risk of hotspots and capacitor storage, associated with the Series 500/1 Exd Light, the enclosure must not be opened when an explosive gas atmosphere is present. A label is fitted to each and every enclosure which states this information.

Internal and external earthing facilities are provided and are effected by internal wiring links and the mounting of the unit.

Cable entry holes are provided as specified on the certified drawings for the accommodation of flameproof cable entry devices, with or without the interposition of a flameproof thread adapter. Unused entries are to be fitted with certified flameproof stopping plugs.

The cable entry devices, thread adapters and stopping plugs shall be suitable for the equipment, the cable and the conditions of use and shall be certified as Equipment (not a Component).

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

1.  The enclosure must be rigidly mounted, via the holes provided in both the copper heat sinks/mounting plates, such that they are protected from mechanical damage.

2. The external earth continuity /bonding, when required, shall be effected by mounting the enclosure to earthed metal surfaces.

3. The IP66 rating of the enclosure is to be maintained by the use of suitably sealed blanking plugs and cabling devices.

4. The enclosure must only be cleaned using a damp cloth.
