EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
The AZ30 O2 Transmitter comprises a cylindrical enclosure to IECEx FME 09.0001U coded Ex d IIC Ex de IIC Ex tD A21.

The inside of the enclosure is fitted with an electronics module (or ‘cartridge’), including a display/interface that is visible through the threaded window cover.

At the rear of the enclosure, beneath a threaded cover, is a flameproof terminal chamber for the connection of incoming cables. Up to three cable entry ports threaded M20 or 1/2 NPT are provided on the side of the unit for the connection of suitably certified cable entry devices or stopping plugs.

The transmitter unit may be fitted to either the AZ30 Oxygen Probe to IECEx BAS 12.0048X or the AZ30 Remote Terminal Housing to IECEx BAS 12.0049X, both via an Ex Component Line Bushing.

Cable entry holes are provided as specified on the certified drawings for the accommodation of flameproof cable entry devices, with or without the interposition of a flameproof thread adapter. Unused entries are to be fitted with certified flameproof stopping plugs.

The cable entry devices, thread adapters and stopping plugs shall be suitable for the equipment, the cable and the conditions of use and shall be certified as Ex Equipment and not an Ex Component.

Schedule of Limitation

1.     In order to maintain the degree of protection IP66 the enclosure must be mounted and sealed as depicted on drawing AZ300 030.

2.    The cylindrical apperture in the base of the enclosure must be fitted with a cylindrical bushing having the dimensions shown on drawing AZ300 030.

3.   The flamepath gap at the bushing interface is specified tighter than that permitted by Table 2 of IEC60079-1. The manufacturer’s instructions shall be consulted for information on the dimensions if required for inspection and/or maintenance
