EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 

The Range of FLP Operators comprises pushbutton and rotary operators and a blanking element. Each operator consists of a stainless steel bush, a stainless steel shaft and a brass or stainless steel lever or button head. The bush has a 1 3/8” –12 UNF external thread for mounting onto the wall of a certified flameproof apparatus. The blanking element also has a 1 3/8” –12 UNF external thread and can be of stainless steel or brass construction. The Range of FLP Operators covered by this certificate is listed in the Annex.

DETAILS OF CERTIFICATE CHANGES (for issues 1 and above):
 
Issue 1:
Addition of operators to the range
The operators consist of a stainless steel shaft, a stainless steel bush and a mild steel or stainless steel button or lever handle. The shafts of the operators have a shoulder at one end for retention. The button head of the Run Out operator is fastened to the shaft with a roll pin. The handles/levers of the Isolator and Foot Switch operators are secured to the shaft via a clamping arrangement with an M8 fastener. The operator bushes have a 1 3/8” – 12 UNF external thread for fitting to separately certified Ex d apparatus.

Issue 2:
Addition of Link 360 operator to the range (Refer Annex for the list)
The operator consists of a stainless steel shaft and an aluminium bronze bush.

Additional information:
 
The overpressure test was successfully conducted at 3200 kPa. Routine pressure testing is therefore not required for the Range of FLP Operators.

The interface between the 1 3/8” – 12 UNF external thread of the operator bush and the 1 3/8” – 12 UNF internal thread provided on the separately certified Ex d apparatus shall have a class of fit of 2A/2B with a minimum thread engagement length of 13 mm.
