EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
The RAID2-xxxBx DECT pocket telephone unit 9d24 is a battery-powered, hand-held, wireless device that communicates with a base station.  The frequencies used depend on the country of intended use.

The RAID2-xxxBx DECT pocket telephone unit 9d24 is marketed under the following names:

Ascom Protector Mk II      Ascom Messenger MkII     Ericsson DT432      Aastra Office 160ATEX

The device comprises a single printed circuit board with a liquid crystal display mounted on it, housed in an ABS enclosure.  Some versions have an alarm button.  The device is powered from a single, Sanyo UF553436F, 750 mAh, lithium-ion cell, which may be recharged only when the unit is located in the non-hazardous area.  During the charging operation, communication also occurs with a base station.  The maximum charging voltage (Um) is 5.25 V and the maximum charging current (Im) is 1.25 A.

There is an output to a suitably-certified headset; the safety description at this connector is:

Uo = 4.2 V
Io = 350 mA          
Po = 1.3 W
Co = 2.2 mF          

Lo = 2.4 mH or
Lo/Ro = 3.1 mH/W
 

 
CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

Whilst, the equipment is housed in an enclosure that meets IP64, the user shall ensure that it is not subjected to prolonged exposure to conductive dust or liquid.

DETAILS OF CERTIFICATE CHANGES (for issues 1 and above):
 
This Issue introduced the following changes:
1.The replacement of the vibration motor with a K’OTL type Z7AJ1A0090003.
2.The replacement of the loudspeaker SP02 with a iNN type 2851N8-69.
3.Printed circuit board artwork changes were recognised.
4.Mechanical modification of the battery pack assembly drawings were recognised.
5.Novagard RTV 800-250 can be used as an alternative encapsulant.
