[Zone0] [Ex ia] IIC
This certificate is issued as verification that a sample(s), representative of production, was assessed and tested and found to comply with the IEC Standard list below and that the manufacturer's quality system, relating to the Ex products covered by this certificate, was assessed and found to comply with the IECEx Quality system requirements. This certificate is granted subject to the conditions as set out in IECEx Scheme Rules, IECEx 02 and Operational Documents as amended.
This Unit verification certificate is issued as verification that the Apparatus identified on page 1, was assessed and tested and found to comply with the IEC Standard list below. This certificate is granted subject to the conditions as set out in IECEx Scheme Rules, IECEx 02 and Operational Documents as amended.
The apparatus and any acceptable variations to it specified in the schedule of this certificate and the identified documents, was found to comply with the following standards:
As this is a Unit Verification Certificate, no QAR is applicable as this certificate is specific to the items listed by serial number or other unique identification.
The converter type KFD0-TR-Ex1.*** is used as associated apparatus for the transmission of electrical signals from the hazardous area to the non-hazardous area. It is carried out as a module with a modular case and is destined to be assembled to 35 mm standard rails according to DIN EN 50022.
Instead of the sign "***" of the model code other letters- or numeral- combinations can be stated optionally which are descibing several variations (e.g. software versions without having influence on the certificate.
The maximum permissible temperature is 60 °C.
10 to 35 V DC, approx. 0,7 W
(terminals 8 and 9
Um = 60 V
in type of protection “Intrinsic Safety” Ex ia IIC/IIB/IIA
(terminals 1; 2 and 3
Effective internal inductance:
Effective internal capacitance:
The maximum permissible values for the external inductance and capacitance have to be taken from the following table 1.
In case of the simultaneous presence of lumped inductance and capacitance the value pairs of the following table 2 apply:
Lo and Co values for IIA are verified by ignition spark tests.
The intrinsically safe input circuit is safely galvanically separated from the non-intrinsically safe output circuit up to the peak value of the nominal voltage of 375 V.
