EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 
The optoelectronic sensors, types MLV11-8-500-Ex/40b/112 operate as reflection light scanner. They detect brightness variations within the scanning field.

 

 

The optoelectronic sensors, types MLV11-54-Ex/40b/112 are reflection light barriers. The emitted light is reflected by a reflector and detected by the receiving unit of the optoelectronic sensors.

The optoelectronic sensors, type M11-Ex/112 (emitter) and type MV11-Ex/40b/112 (receiver) operate together as one-way light barrier. All types indicated are intended for use in the hazardous area. The minimum permissible ambient temperature is  -25 °C.
 
CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:
 
1. When the optoelectronic sensors of types MLV11-8-500-Ex/40b/112, MLV11-54-Ex/40b/112, M11-Ex/112 and MV11-Ex/40b/112 are used within a temperature range of -25 °C up to -20 °C  they have to be protected against impact by installation into an additional housing.

2. The connection facilities of the optoelectronic sensors of types
MLV11-8-500-Ex/40b/112, MLV11-54-Ex/40b/112, M11-Ex/112 and MV11-Ex/40b/112 shall be installed in such a way that at least a degree of protection of IP 20 according to IEC 60529 is met.

3. The correlation between type of connected circuit, maximum permissible ambient temperature and temperature class as well as the effectiv internal reactances for the individual types of optoelectronic sensors shall be taken from the table given in the annex of this IECEx certificate.
