EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
 

The Ethernet Isolator, type EI-0D2-10Y-10B*** is used to generate a galvanically isolated, intrinsically safe Ethernet signal (Ex ia IIB) from a non-intrinsically safe Ethernet signal.

The equipment is intended for application as associated apparatus outside the hazardous area and as zone 2 equipment using the identical design.The permissible range of the ambient temperature is  -40 °C up to +60 °C.

 
CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:
 
1. For the application as zone 2 equipment the Ethernet Isolator, type EI-0D2-10Y-10B***  shall be installed into a housing which fulfills a minimum degree of protection of IP 54  according to IEC 60529:1989 + A1:1999.

2.  In an ambient temperature range from -40 °C to -25 °C the ethernet interface contacts  (RJ45) of the Ethernet Isolator, type EI-0D2-10Y-10B*** must not be plugged or un-plugged or mechanically stressed in any other way.
